Plaza Mexicana in Vernal

Very fun restaurant, a bit cramped, gets pretty busy on Fridays for dinner. The menu is huge with lots to choose from, and they definitely have a many unique dishes I haven't seen anywhere else. The food is pretty good, the service is pretty good, unfortunately I didn't think the food tasted amazing, but I'm still glad I went here for dinner. If you are looking for a good Mexican restaurant, it's definitely worth checking out at least once to see if you love it.

The restaurant was very clean and nicely decorated. Customer service is amazing. Food is great with big portions. It really makes you feel like you are experiencing the culture. The workers make you feel like you are always welcomed. I give this place a 10/10😍

This is fantastic Mexican food for the area. You won’t find any better for a tradition sit-down style Mexican joint. It’s a fun experience and the food is amazing. The staff is friendly, and the portions are very large, so you can always share. It’s a quaint place that I would certainly return to!

We had to come all the way from SLC to get great Mexican Food. This place was legit and had a great authentic vibe. This is the place locals go on Friday night. Had the Burrito Mazatlan and was not disappointed!

What a fantastic place! The food was incredible and the decor was so fun and bright! The whole place had a lovely family-run vibe and the staff were excellent! I had the chicken fajita burrito and oh my god it was incredible! Genuinely the best Mexican food I've ever had, if it wasn't so far to get here (across the Atlantic Ocean for me!) I'd be back every week! Again, just a wonderful restaurant in every sense, everyone should eat here!

My partner and I got lost and ended up in Utah, so we decided to stop in Vernal to eat before we headed home. This place is SO cute! Every table, booth, and light fixture is different and it looks hand painted. The staff is so friendly and kind, and the atmosphere is just wonderful. And the food was just delicious! I’m so glad we accidentally ended up here, this was such a cute place and I will absolutely eat here again when I end up in Vernal.

This is a little restaurant but it is do beautifully decorated inside. The food is good and you get alot. Prices are reasonable. They have many alcoholic drinks to choose from.

Awesome authentic Mexican food. The guacamole is tasty. The fajita chicken salad is huge! Great taste all around.

This place was amazing! The food was great, and the portions were, above and beyond. We needed 7 to go boxes. My fajitas were so good, and the carne asada burrito was delicious. The service was great, and we got sat down within 2 minutes. We'll return soon.

First time eating here was with my girlfriend a couple of months ago. We got the mole chimichanga plate (two chimicangas covered in mole with rice & beans) & shared it, & still had enough to bring home leftovers. BEST. MOLE. EVER. Was pleasantly surprised. Great prices too boot. Will visit again.

We had a wonderful family get together last weekend and they accommodated us. It was amazing! The quality of their food and hospitality were great! We really had a large group and if you have visited them before - they are a small establishment and they made it a wonderful experience.

For a small town, excellent food, excellent service and great ambiance! Very surprising and wonderful little restaurant, tucked in between other businesses, you might miss it if you’re not paying attention. I parked in a large parking lot behind and walked a block or so, free parking and along a beautiful flower lined Main Street.Very accommodating employees, fun decor, fast service and incredibly HUGE plates FULL of food that was very tasty and fresh! Even serving Mole!Affordable for the quantity and quality of food.I’ll definitely return on my next visit to Vernal!

This is awesome place to eat at. Very good food and house special fajitas a must to try at least once. The serve steak, chicken and jumbo shrimp wrapped in bacon over veggies. Spray with tequila and light it on fire.

Everytime I come here the food is always fresh and tasty, hot and on time, and the servers are always smiling and friendly.

The food was good, service was good and restate was clean. HUGE servings! The crispy relent was interesting and the house margarita excellent but a bit pricey. Will go again, once the fullness wears off!!

Every time I can make an excuse to go to Vernal, I make sure to drop in to this place. To date, this is the best Mexican restaurant that I have ever been to. Yes, it isn’t the biggest or roomiest place to eat (I really hate that people complain about that) but the waiters have always been kind and the food has always been amazing. Don’t go if you’re going to cry about not having enough space. Go for the colourful environment, the amazing food and a unique eating experience.

Very good. Reasonably-priced (except for the margaritas). Decent quality. Pretty quick service. The margaritas are way too expensive and not that great. I just had the house marg. Maybe the other ones are better. The salsa was my favorite part.

Amazing food, completely authentic, friendly attentive service. We live in a tourist town and do not have this kind of delicious Mexican food where we live. I highly recommend, as does my entire family.

ABSOLUTELY ASWESOME!!! If you read any of my reviews you find I am very frank with my reviews and rarely do I give 5 stars to a restaurant. The quality of food had great flavors and perfectly cooked. My wife had a taco salad the first time and steak fajitas the second time. I had Tampiquena the first time and was so impressed with the flavor of the sauce that I had it a second time too! The sauce has some bite to it.What makes this restaurant even better is the service was spectacular. Large drink glasses that never go empty, quick with bringing out the food and most importantly is they were VERY FRIENDLY.It upsets me that people like Keith Porter give places like this a bad review. Keith had no problem with the 2 for 1 Corona special or the other prices. If Keith was uncomfortable for his alleged perception of social-distancing he should have simply left. I guess he wasn't all that concerned after all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Plaza Mexicana downtown Vernal Utah such an experience for the pallet, the chimichangas we're amazing and the Margaritas were to die for. The only thing I would recommend is that there be a two-for-one deal on the margaritas.

Excellent crispy chilli relleno and pork enchiladas. Everyone in our group had something different and it was all excellent! Huge portions!

I never thought I was going to find the best Mexican food in a very fun-nicely decorated little restaurant in Vernal!!. Excellent service, delicious (and plenty of!!) food. We'll go back everytime we are in the area.

I have the best family moments here. This place is the place to be if you want good food and good drinks. Family oriented and super signature. I love this place.$$

This is more related to my most recent experience there. I did a call in take-out order. Was told that it would be 10 minutes. I get there about in about 10-13 minutes and still ended up waiting 30 minutes for my food. I get home, a 30 minute drive, and my order is wrong. Normally great service, but I don’t recommend doing take-out from them.

Clean, tasty, and good service when we came. The menu is well rounded, ranging from inexpensive and simple to pricey seafood.

WOW!!! What tasty food, great decor, and friendly services. Do not let the lack of street parking deter you as there is plenty of parking behind the restaurant. A nice wide breezeway from the parking lot to the street allows quick access to the restaurant's front door. Mind the step leading into the front door. It is painted yellow but can catch you off guard going in and coming out. Price is a great value for the amount of food you recive.

Very cute hole in the wall sort of place. Beautiful Mexican decor. Excellent food. Salsa had a delicious kick to it, plaza Mexicana burrito with carnita meat was everything I could have asked for. SO good. Drinks were on the spendy side but the food made up for it
